The Franklin Johnston Group Announces Chris McKee as Executive Vice President and Director of Operations

Chris MckeeVIRGINIA BEACH, Va., Feb. 18, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ — The Franklin Johnston Group has filled a key position in the company with the addition of Chris McKee as Executive Vice President and Director of Operations.  In his new post at FJG, McKee will be directly responsible for the operational efficiency and financial performance of the business.

Most recently, McKee was Managing Director at Harbor Group International, where he oversaw that company’s expansion from 18,000 multifamily apartments to more than 25,000 while producing 13 consecutive quarters of growth.  Prior to Harbor Group International, he oversaw operations at AIMCO, expanding from 40,000 to 350,000 apartment residences in a $2.5 billion acquisition.

McKee has a history of creating long-term value and driving results by refining day-to-day operations and increasing profitability for consulting firms and REITs.  His experience includes 6 years in the real estate advisory groups of Big 6 firms including Coopers and Lybrand and Arthur Andersen, 10 years in strategic leadership positions within the operations and transactions groups of large multifamily REITs, 4 years as a partner in a private equity firm focused on multifamily real estate, and most recently a successful tenure with Harbor Group International.

McKee holds a MS in Real Estate and Construction Management from the University of Denver where he was a member of the International Business Honor Society and the International Real Estate Honor Society. He also holds a BSBA with concentrations in Finance and Real Estate from Colorado State University.
